Crazy for Kodachrome? So are we!

Digitizing your family slide collection will provide some of your most brilliant memories. The Slides contain so much resolution they can be enlarged and printed at poster size.

Above is a sampling of some of the gorgeous Kodachrome slides we have digitized for various clients. Some date back to the 1940s.

Sometimes it's the little things, like playing with the garden hose. Here's another slide from an Ann Arbor client's 1950's-era collection. Many of our clients have us combine a series of their favorite slide images with their favorite songs to make a sensational home video. Since the images are so robust, they look fantastic when shown on the largest-screen TV in your house.

The image below is another gorgeous Kodachrome slide conversion shot at the 1957 Newport Jazz Festival by Priceless Preservation Founder Rob Hoffman's father. A poster-sized print of this soulful image of Mahalia Jackson hangs in our Downtown Ann Arbor office and the detail on her blue dress looks so real, it seems like you could reach out and touch it. And by the way -- this is a cropped version of the slide.

More about our slide work

Somewhere in your closet, they sit.

Boxes or carousels full of slides that you haven’t seen in years. Perhaps they were yours. Perhaps you inherited them.

Chances are some of your best family memories are on there. They need to be digitized. But you want them done right.

At Priceless Preservation, we’re here to help you from the beginning to the end of the process.

Here’s what we do that is different from all the other companies that convert slides:

  • Cull your collection. We will rent you slide viewers so you can quickly and easily ensure you only digitize the slides you want.

  • Long-term preservation is key. All files are saved as archival standard TIFFS, Slides are rehoused in protective plastic sleeves that both prevent damage and make them more accessible.

  • We do what you want. We can create playable slide shows - and even add narration. We organize the slides the way you want them.

How much does it cost?

Slide digitization starts at 75-cents per slide and includes basic dust removal and color restoration. All slides are scanned at at least 1800 dpi which gives clients the ability to produce prints as large as 16 x 20 inches.
